SINGAPORE, OCTOBER 17th – Singapore’s hottest sim racer Dillan Tan from Legion of Racers (LOR), an esports and lifestyle brand, is set to compete in one of karting world’s most prestigious event the ROK Cup Superfinal 2024, to be held from 15to 19 October 2024 at the South Garda Karting circuit in Lonato, Italy.
LOR was founded with the goal of offering racers the chance to experience the excitement of motorsport through sim racing, while cultivating talent through their esport team. As LOR continues to push its mission forward, having their sim racer compete in ROK Cup Superfinal 2024 reflects a significant step in helping the teenager achieve his racing dreams..
With numerous championship wins and sim racing titles in 2023, 15-year-old Tan also has a strong track record in ROK Cups championships, including his victory in the ROK Cup junior title in 2022 ,a clear indication of his racing talent.
His recent participation at Asia Pacific Karting Championship 2024 (APKC) in the Senior ROK category further adds to his growing list of accomplishments, where he secured an impressive third place. Now, with the ROK Cup Superfinal 2024 on the horizon, Tan is ready to add this reputable event to his belt, further boosting his karting career.
“It is a privilege to participate in the championship, as it is the most important event of the year for all ROK categories. The competition is fierce, but it’s exactly where I want to be. Participating in this event deepens my growth in the Karting industry with LOR.” said Tan.
The ROK Cup Superfinal stands out as a premier event in the karting world, functioning as the pinnacle championship for drivers in the ROK Cup series. This prestigious competition assembles elite talents from national ROK Cup competitions across the globe, showcasing the set skills of the best drivers in the sport.
Notable past participants include Andrea Kimi Antonelli, the 2018 MIni ROK Champion, set to join the Mercedes-AMG F1 Team in 2025, and Logan Sargeant, who claimed the 2011 Mini ROK title, currently racing with Williams Racing in the F1 World Championship.
This event draws over 400 racers from more than 50 countries, emphasising its significance on the karting calendar. This event not only provides a platform for established drivers to compete but also paves the way for emerging talent to gain exposure and experience on an international stage.
Similar to other ROK Cup series, this championship carries sevencategories which includes Mini ROK, Junior ROK, Senior ROK, Expert Junior ROK,Expert plus ROK, Super ROK, Shifter ROK.
